The Campaign for Frye Field brought our community together as never before. More than 500 donors who value and treasure this place responded to the call. This has truly been an effort by the community, for the community: support came from near and far, public and private, current families and long-time alumni. Thank you, everyone, for helping to conserve this beautiful landscape. This place is so full of memories, and brimming with hope for the future.
But our work does not stop here.
With the purchase of this land comes the responsibility to steward these resources. Stewardship is not a passive role. Rather, it becomes our job to actively protect this land, meet the terms of the conservation easements, and cultivate that which we have preserved for future generations.
With a lead gift from alumna Anne "Patches" HARRISON Husted '66, High Mowing has established the Land Stewardship Fund to serve as a resource to fulfill our obligations as land stewards. It will support efforts to sustain the quality of the land, soil, and water resources, and enhance appreciation and understanding of forest, land management, and agricultural practices.
